System Requirements
Authelo will run on any UNIX-like operating system running recent versions of Apache and PHP.
More specifically, it requires:
- Apache 1.3.x or Apache 2.x
- .htaccess override and Basic Authentication must be available within Apache.
- PHP version 4.3 or later or PHP 5.x
- PHP safe_mode must be off.
- If your website already makes use of .htaccess-based authentication, you need to ensure that only a single htpasswd file is utilized - Authelo cannot operate in the presence of multiple password/auth files.
Most shared and dedicated web hosting environments will meet these requirements.
